Machine Tool Builders, Inc. (MTB) seeks several talented, self-starting custom machine builders to rebuild, modify and assemble metal-working machines in our Illinois shop. You will read prints for fluid power plumbing, perform precise tolerancing, alignments, and use tools like calipers, micrometers, and indicators.

Some domestic travel will be required. We value craftsmanship, attention to detail and good math skills.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and prints for fluid power plumbing.
• Ability to rebuild, modify and assemble metal-working machines.
• Strong math and measurement accuracy required.

We are seeking several talented, self-starting, highly driven custom machine builders to rebuild, modify and assemble metal working machines.We desire skills in print reading for fluid power plumbing, mechanical assembly, tolerancing, machine alignments, bearing and seal types and assembly techniques, tight tolerance fitments, use of measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, indicators etc. Knowledge of lathes, mills and grinders for shop floor modifications is required. Good math skills, attention to detail and a true craftsman-like attitude are all very positive traits. Salary is commensurate with skills and experience. We offer 401K with company match, health insurance, PTO and Holiday pay.

Some domestic travel will be required on occasion.
