Job Skills/Requirements

1. Assist supervisor in monitoring production personnel, equipment, and materials.
2. Assist in communicating production priorities and procedures.
3. Provide assistance on production lines in problem areas.
4. Identify materials required for the next run and ensure availability.
5. Assist supervisor in identifying personnel assignments and monitor effectiveness.
6. Identify equipment setup requirements and assist supervisor in communicating procedures.
7. Monitor product quality throughout the process.
8. Assist supervisor with training.

Work is performed on 12-hour rotating shifts, 7 days a week.

Assist line in preparation for product changeovers:

• Pull blankets weighing 160 lbs. to 450 lbs. from blanket cart to blanket skid.
• Check the resin gun for proper spray pattern.
• Ensure the tilt hood is down, catch cart is in proper position, and the area is clear of the drum.
• Gather fibers by pulling back the chute, breaking off excess fibers to prevent contact with the drum, and pulling fibers smoothly from the side closest to the drum.

Other duties include:

• Checking equipment operation before scheduled runs and communicating needs to supervisor and maintenance.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years recent manufacturing experience (within the last year).
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and equipment experience.
• Minimum 1 year forklift experience.
