Aerotek is seeking a Machine Builder for its Detroit, MI facility. The role involves mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies and large components, reading entry-level blueprints and shop orders, and working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro‑mechanical systems.

Responsibilities include assembling parts per specifications, using 2D/3D prints, and verifying tolerances with calipers and micrometers. The position is fully onsite with opportunities for growth and teamwork in a clean, safety‑minded

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical instructions.
• Experience in mechanical assembly of sub- and mid-assemblies for machines.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electro‑mechanical systems as used in assembly.

Responsabilités

• Assemble sub-assemblies, mid-assemblies and large components per engineering specs.
• Read and follow blueprints, shop orders and specifications to build parts on schedule.
• Use 2D/3D prints to ensure proper fit, alignment and function.
• Measure parts with scales, micrometers and calipers to verify tolerances.
• Move and position large components with overhead cranes and rigging.
