Duties And Responsibilities

The Machine Assembler aligns, constructs and installs components of machinery, i.e. gears, motors, electrical wiring, by interpreting schematics and blueprints. Must be able to work well within a team-based environment and collaborate with employees from other departments.

Responsibilities
  • Decipher schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
  • Assemble sub-assemblies and components according to engineering specifications.
  • Operate hand and power tools and sometimes machinery such as drills or grinders.
  • Test finished products for defects and ensuring proper functionality.
  • Maintain a clean workspace and repair or replace damaged tools.
  • Follow company procedures and safety rules.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision/guidance.
  • Perform other job duties, as required and requested.
Skill Requirements And Qualifications
  • Trade School education or job experience in a similar role.
  • Able to lift 40 lbs – 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Safety management mindset.
  • Mechanical aptitude – understanding machinery and fit-up/assembly repair.
