Job summary

Ridley’s Family Markets is seeking a dependable team member to perform essential duties with accuracy and maintain a high level of productivity. You will interact warmly with guests, assist in price labeling and merchandising, and help keep display standards up to company guidelines.

No experience is required, and the role requires at least 18 years of age. Basic computer skills and a high school diploma or GED are preferred to support daily operations and guest service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Exhibit and develop maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
2. Promote a high level of morale within department and store, utilizing friendly but professional methods of honest and open communication.
3. Maintain good working relationships with other department managers with the objective of improving sales storewide.

6. Assists in maintaining proper freshness, code dating, tares, and merchandising of the products in compliance with governmental guidelines and company policies and procedures.
7. Capable of recognizing the quality of all service and self-service meats from their appearance and distinguishing between types and cuts of meat.
8. Assists in proper department pricing, rotating and merchandising to meet company policies, procedures and objectives.
9. Maintains an awareness of competitive activity within the store marketing area.
10. Pulls outdated, rewraps or applies new labels as necessary.
11. Stays aware of current sale prices and location of products. Answers guest inquiries in a prompt and friendly manner.

Requirements

COMMUNICATION:

Ability to write, speak, hear, and understand the spoken word to respond promptly to pages, requests, team members and guests.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.

COMPUTER:

Basic computer skills preferred.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or related job experience and/or training are preferred.

EXPERIENCE

No experience required.

MINIMUM AGE:

18 years of age.
