Job summary

Allied Printing Services Inc. in Manchester, CT is seeking a skilled Mac Prepress Operator to join our growing Prepress team.

You will prepare customer files for high-quality print production on Macintosh systems, perform preflight and color management, and ensure accurate plate-ready output for multiple printing formats. You will review client files for accuracy, handle imposition and color corrections, and produce proofs for internal and customer approvals under the 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a commercial printing prepress environment.
• Certificate, associate's degree, or equivalent training in Graphic Arts, Printing Technology, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency with Macintosh operating systems and Adobe Creative Cloud apps.
• Experience with industry-standard preflight, color management, imposition, proofing and plate-ready prep.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, verify, and process customer files for high-quality print production.
• Perform preflight checks, color management, imposition and proofing.
• Create and verify plate-ready files for offset, digital, and variable data output.
• Add bleeds, adjust colors, silhouette, and prepare die lines for binding/finishing.
• Generate and distribute digital and hard-copy proofs for approvals.
• Troubleshoot file issues, font conflicts, and image resolution problems.
