Job summary

Centraprise in Austin, TX is seeking a QA/Power Validation Engineer to support Mac platform power validation and overall software development QA. You will collect and analyze power test results, reproduce issues, and help isolate root causes using debugging and data analysis.

You will set up and maintain Mac systems on testing racks, keep lab equipment in good shape, file clear bugs, and communicate status regularly.

Qualifications

• Strong familiarity with MacOS and comfort using command line tools.
• Basic competency in object oriented programming (Swift, Python preferred)

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze power test results on Mac platforms.
• Reproduce reported issues with existing tests.
• Identify and isolate issues using debugging and data analysis skills.
• File detailed bugs and communicate identified issues.
• Set up and maintain Mac systems on testing racks.
• Maintain lab test equipment and infrastructure as requested by the team.
• Prioritize tasks and communicate status regularly to the team.
• Ongoing documentation of test processes for future reference.
• Make minor updates to the testing platform codebase.
• Propose new testing methodologies to support Mac power validation.
