Job summary

Apple is seeking a Hardware System Integration Electrical Engineer for Mac development to design, implement, test, and debug the electrical subsystem of all-in-one Macs. You will work with cross-functional teams across hardware, software, silicon, and module groups, focusing on power, high-speed interfaces, and system integrity.

The role emphasizes schematic capture, PCB layout, and tight collaboration to meet constrained multi-layer PCB requirements and high-speed data paths.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field with practical work experience.
• Strong fundamentals in E&M physics and system architecture tradeoffs.
• Experience with I2C/SMBus, SPI, USB, PCIe, DisplayPort, Thunderbolt interfaces.
• Experience using lab tools (25 GHz scopes, logic analyzers) and protocol decoding.
• Circuit design experience across power, digital, analog, or RF domains; close collaboration with software/firmware teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and debug the electrical subsystem for Apple Mac platforms.
• Coordinate schematic capture and PCB layout for constrained multilayer PCBs (HDI, fine-pitch BGAs).
• Perform bring-up, validation, and cross-functional troubleshooting with mechanical, software, silicon, and module teams.
• Support system-level trades and document design choices for robust production.
