Job summary

Primary Health Medical Group in Idaho is seeking an MA/LPN/RN AB Patient Flow Coordinator to manage patient flow, assist with examinations, and support providers in a busy family practice and urgent care setting.

You will perform phlebotomy, triage, vaccination administration, room preparation, and patient education while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality and delivering compassionate care. This role emphasizes teamwork and a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Completion of a nationally accredited MA program.
• LPNs and RNs must have a current license from the Idaho Board of Nursing.
• Venipuncture skills.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.
• Customer service-oriented attitude/behavior.
• Computer proficiency and ability to use applicable software.
• Recommended vaccines: influenza, Hep B, TDaP, MMR, Varicella, TB.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment under provider direction, including casting, bracing, and injections.
• Provide clinical triage/communication per protocol or provider instructions.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize, and check medical equipment.
• Perform basic on-site laboratory tests and prepare specimens.
• Perform phlebotomy with proper labeling and processing of specimens.
• Administer adult and pediatric vaccines and wellness exams.
• Monitor disease progression and assist with chronic condition management.
• Help patients navigate the healthcare system with education and plan participation.
• Assist with non-direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking, scanning records).
• Relay provider instructions to patients and document encounters accurately.
• Support front office in patient flow, schedules, referrals, and outreach.

Your day.

As an MA/LPN/RN AB PFC, you need to know how to:

• Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider and/or physician, which could include casting, bracing, and injections
• Provideclinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions
• Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, including sterilization, cleaning, and checks on medical equipment
• Prepare basic laboratory tests on-premises and prepare laboratory specimens
• Perform phlebotomy involved with the proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages
• Administer adult and childhood vaccines and wellness exams
• Observe disease improvement and help manage chronic conditions
• Help patients navigate the healthcare system, providing one-on-one education, and participating in the patient’s healthcare plan
• Assist with special procedures not offered in the Urgent Care, i.e., IUDs, Nexplanon, biopsies, diabetic foot care, sleep studies, Cologuards, and circumcisions
• Assist the back office in managing patient flow, paperwork, and customer service
• Provide quality customer service and patient education based on assessment of needs
• Performtests and procedures as ordered
• Accurately document patient encounters and interventions performed
• Relay provider instructions to patients
• Assist with all non-direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking room, scanning records, mailing, etc.)
• Aidin identifying methods of improving patient care
• Assist Front Office Staff in managing details of patients, schedules, and referrals
• Assistor lead in emergency situations
• Maintainconfidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the organization, i.e., HIPAA
• Perform other duties as assigned
