Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Company is seeking an M/E Engineer 1 for the Advanced Facilities Group (AFG). The role starts with learning and contributing to safety, quality and basic M/E activities on diverse projects nationwide, including industrial and data center initiatives.

This entry-level position emphasizes developing estimates, bid analysis support, and coordination across preconstruction stages. The candidate will gain experience in reading plans, using M/E tools, and collaborating with teams,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering or related field (Required).
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 0-2 years construction experience and/or summer internship/co-op experience in construction (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company’s safety and quality plans and culture.
• Completes entry level and routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Learns how to develop budgetary M/E estimates, based upon program and schematic design information using automated M/E estimating system.
• Assists in the review of mechanical and electrical options as part of the preconstruction process.
• Learns to develop the mechanical and electrical scopes of work used to coordinate during the bid process.
• Assists in the completion of bid analysis and provides input during the subcontractor selection process.
