Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) in New York City is seeking an Analyst to join the Transactional Liability team. You will assist senior underwriters on M&A deals and gain exposure to Representations and Warranties Insurance and Tax Insurance while developing deal-specific analysis.

This is an entry-level role designed to build practical knowledge of mergers and acquisitions, financial review, and client coordination with brokers and lawyers, contributing to timely deal progression

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training/experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Responsibilities

Support underwriters with research and analysis of company data and target information.
Assist with preparing quotes and policy documents for M&A deals.
Coordinate with brokers and lawyers to move deals forward on deadlines.
Track deal activity, policies bound/issued, and subjectivities in internal systems.
Engage with brokers, lawyers and clients to foster relationships.
