Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a Manager to join our Transaction Services Tax team, with responsibility for developing and delivering tax advisory on complex transactions. This role is open to location, offering exposure to private equity funds, banks, and corporate clients.

You will model financial transactions, prepare memoranda, and coordinate with partners to manage client engagements, due diligence, and post-acquisition planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or graduate degree with 2+ years of experience.
• 2+ years in a mid to large professional services firm.
• CPA or JD/LLM required.
• Experience in tax due diligence, deal structuring and post-acquisition planning.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with Partners on client and engagement management.
• Model financial transactions for valuation, structuring and negotiation.
• Prepare memoranda and presentations describing client attributes.
• Assist in review of tax aspects of acquisitions and draft memoranda.
• Identify tax risks and opportunities; advise on strategies for transactions.
• Perform data gathering, reports, and financial analyses for models.
• Conduct due diligence for buy- and sell-side transactions.
• Support transaction structuring for tax and accounting issues.
• Provide negotiation support and ensure client service quality.
• Engage in firm marketing and recruiting activities.
