Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Manager, Transaction Advisory Services to drive timely execution of engagements and support the national TAS strategy. The role covers deal structuring, due diligence, post-deal integration, and tax attribute management for complex transactions.

You will work with private equity and strategic clients, assess tax risks, review merger agreements, and mentor staff while coordinating with BDO offices worldwide. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics, preferred
• Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) with a focus on tax, preferred
• Master's degree in Accounting or Tax, preferred

Responsibilities

• Serves on client engagement teams, participating in due diligence and structuring engagements related to transactions pursued by private equity and strategic buyers
• Advises on tax risks and opportunities for both buyers and sellers on acquisition, disposition, and restructuring
• Reviews merger agreements and provides opinion letters
• Assesses and analyzes tax computations in financial models and projections for transactions
• Manages risk and financial performance including budgeting, billing and collections
• Collaborates with BDO offices globally and mentors subordinates
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Other duties as required
