Withum is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Tax Lead Consultant to lead tax due diligence and structuring engagements for private equity and strategic clients across industries. This role collaborates with client management and engagement leadership while mentoring junior team members.

The Lead Consultant can be based in multiple US office locations with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office per week). Withum offers a strong benefits package and opportunities for growth within TAS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, JD, LL.M. in taxation, and/or MST from an accredited college/university.
• 3+ years of federal tax and/or mergers and acquisition experience in a public accounting firm, corporate tax department, or law firm.
• Experience in a large professional services organization; public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize on projects and adapt quickly to new challenges.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsabilités

• Coordinating tax due diligence and structuring engagements.
• Managing multiple work streams at any given time.
• Collaborating with client management on diligence focus areas and providing real-time communications of issues and deal considerations.
• Working on reports that set out our findings and recommendations around the key tax issues in a transaction.
• Identifying integration, separation, and post-transaction transition issues.
• Collaborating with other team members and contributing to the ongoing development of M&A best practices.
