Withum is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Tax Lead Consultant to lead and execute tax due diligence and structuring engagements for private equity and strategic clients across industries. The Lead Consultant can be based in multiple US offices and this is a hybrid role (3 days in office per week).

You will work directly with clients and engagement leadership, mentor junior team members, and help grow the TAS practice by delivering high-quality tax analysis and actionable insights.

Qualifikationen

• A bachelor's degree, J.D., LL.M. in taxation, and/or MST from an accredited college/university.
• 3+ years of experience in federal tax and/or mergers and acquisitions in a public accounting firm, corporate tax department, or law firm.
• Experience in a large professional services organization; public accounting experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills both internally and externally, promoting active listening and follow-up on open action items.
• Ability to prioritize on projects and adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts.
• Desire to be a long-term contributor to a dynamic team.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

• Coordinating tax due diligence and structuring engagements
• Managing multiple work streams at any given time
• Collaborating with client management on diligence focus areas and providing real-time communications of issues and deal considerations
• Working on reports that set out our findings and recommendations around the key tax issues in a transaction
• Identifying integration, separation, and post-transaction transition issues
• Collaborating with other team members and contributing to the ongoing development of M&A best practices
