Job summary

EY is seeking a 2027 Summer Intern for the USA Tax - ITTS – Transaction (M&A) Tax Advisory. You will join the Tax Advisory team and work on buy- and sell-side due diligence, structuring, and cash tax modeling across domestic and international transactions. The role offers exposure to the transaction lifecycle and formal and on-the-job training.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an LL.M. in Taxation or a JD, with strong academic performance, and must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing LL.M. in Taxation or JD, with strong academic record.
• US state bar membership of candidate or anticipated admission.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team; strong communication and time-management skills.
• Willingness to travel; ability to work outside standard hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform due diligence on acquisition targets to analyze risks and benefits.
• Collaborate with tax teams worldwide to share data and monitor deadlines.
• Manage engagement processes from start to finish.
• Develop acquisition/disposition structures for domestic and international transactions.
• Evaluate tax aspects of financial models.
• Draft technical documents and presentations with clear tax findings.
