Job summary

Openkrill seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to build the data layer underpinning M&A and Marketing Ops for U.S.-facing clients. Fully remote with overlap to US Eastern business hours.

The role collaborates with the M&A team, marketing lead, COO, CFO, and an outsourced IT provider to design data rooms, analytics tooling, and brand asset systems, leveraging Python/TypeScript, SQL, React, and Azure deployments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building internal tools, integrations, or data plumbing.
• Production code in Python or TypeScript, plus SQL.
• Experience with REST APIs and front-end work in React.
• Cloud deployment experience, preferably Azure.
• Git and CI pipelines, Microsoft 365 platform usage.
• Experience with LLM APIs and document processing at volume.

Responsibilities

• Build the diligence data room and notification system for data rooms.
• Develop target-analysis and target-identification tooling for M&A workflows.
• Create a brand rollout tracker and a brand asset engine with approvals.
• Implement REST API integrations and OAuth2 flows.
• Collaborate with outsourced IT to manage access without disruption.
• Develop with Python/TypeScript and deploy to Azure, App Service or Functions.
• Enable LLM-based document processing, structured JSON output, and prompt versioning.
• Ensure security with secrets management and least-privilege access.
