Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) is seeking a Financial Due Diligence Senior Associate in the Boston area. You will lead buy-side and sell-side engagements, perform in-depth financial diligence, and draft Quality of Earnings reports to illuminate drivers of profits and cash flows.

You’ll partner with senior staff to deliver tailored insights for dynamic middle-market transactions. You will manage multiple priorities, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development while traveling up to 25% as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 2–6 years of related experience in a consulting practice or cross-industry at national level.
• CPA preferred or CPA in process preferred.
• Strong knowledge in US GAAP, GAAS, SEC Reporting, and M&A.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and mentor associates.

Responsibilities

• Perform buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements with carve-outs.
• Assist mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures with financial diligence insights.
• Perform financial due diligence on Income Statement and Balance Sheet areas.
• Lead analysis of operational data, working capital, debt, and debt-like items.
• Draft reports highlighting key findings and drivers for investments.
• Create tailored transaction advisory reports on earnings, assumptions, and carve-outs.
• Collaborate with partners on proposals and client calls; contribute to BD.
• Meet or exceed target billing hours; supervise and mentor associates.
• Assess performance for engagement reviews and year-end assessments.
