Job summary

UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. seeks a Finance & Accounting Special Projects Data Analytics supervisor to support and maintain finance and project processes for mergers and acquisitions and related data analysis.

The role uses Alteryx, Oracle Cloud, Excel, and other data tools to respond to data queries, set up processes, and improve record-to-report workflows. The candidate will analyze, interpret trends, and report findings to add business value across the M&A accounting and diligence

Qualifications

• Demonstrates in-depth understanding of complex financial data and modeling concepts.
• Experience with GAAP and financial data analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Apply problem solving and domain finance knowledge for potential insights and process simplification
• Clear writing and communication skills to senior audiences for data analysis
• Ability to create data visualization, dashboards and reports
• Assist with diligence to evaluate growth opportunities and assess target company data
• Evaluates business plans and synergy estimates to enable discussions
• Maintains and organizes records for project files
• Calculates deal-specific financial metrics to assess valuation
• Assists in creating executive overviews of transaction fundamentals
• Analyzes non-public information to summarize material findings
• Organizes remote and on-site diligence processes
• Coordinates with cross-functional diligence team to meet timelines
• Manages external data room providers for project access
• Updates valuation models during diligence and post-diligence
• Maintains data and documents for accessibility by teams
• Assists in creating closing checklists and post-signing handoffs
• Coordinates cross-functional transaction communications
• Assists with month-end close and consolidation processes
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts for accurate results
• Provides documentation to external auditors
• Applies GAAP data analysis methods and suggests improvements
• Resolves project issues per UPS policies
• Manages project plan and risk
• Collaborates cross-functionally in a hybrid office environment
