Job summary

Langan is seeking a Project Environmental/Transaction Advisory Professional to support its growing national practice in the United States. The role focuses on site exploration activities, including EHS due diligence in M&A, contaminated site work, sampling, vapor intrusion assessment, and report preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Science, or Sustainability required.
• 5+ years of environmental consulting experience.
• Experience within the M&A environmental due diligence.
• Strong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, data management, and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
• Availability to work overtime as needed.
• Possess reliable transportation access to remote job site locations.
• Flexibility to allow for periodic travel.

Responsibilities

• Field work is required.
• Conduct EHS Due Diligence and deal support for a variety of legal, financial, and industrial clients.
• Participate in the identification and pursuit of new clients, develop additional work within an existing project, and attend business development meetings with new and existing clients.
• Assist with the coordination and execution of field investigations by logging borings, collecting and managing samples, performing field tests, and collecting and recording field data.
• Perform air, soil, gas, groundwater sampling and remediation of contaminated properties.
• Prepare and manage standard logs and field forms documenting field investigations and remedial activities.
• Observe remediation and construction activities and monitor conformance with construction documents, remedial work plans, and health and safety plans.
• Assist clients with post-merger integration and compliance.
• Identify and communicate with supervisor on any problems encountered on project sites and implement solutions to both routine and complex field problems and accurately documents results.
• Conduct file reviews, site reconnaissance, and document searches.
• Assist with report preparation.
• Perform other duties as requested
