Job summary

Atlantic Group is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to lead the accounting and finance function for a growing, acquisition-driven organization in Boston. You will oversee close processes, consolidated reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management while guiding post-close integrations and financial controls.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting/finance, experience with M&A, and a background in PE-backed or acquisitive settings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive, hands-on accounting and finance experience.
• Prior M&A and post-acquisition integration experience strongly preferred, including integrating processes and reporting.
• Experience managing consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities.
• Background in private equity-backed or acquisitive environments preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong Excel and QuickBooks; experience with Sage/NetSuite or other ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close and prepare consolidated financial statements across multiple entities per GAAP.
• Drive M&A due diligence, quality of earnings, working capital, and opening balance sheets.
• Lead post-acquisition integrations, align policies, migrate systems, and establish controls.
• Collaborate with acquired finance teams to standardize processes platform-wide.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial analysis with variance and cost analysis.
• Develop weekly KPIs and provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Coordinate external audits and annual reporting with auditors.
• Oversee tax filings and regulatory reporting and disclosures.
• Manage ERP and accounting systems to improve reporting, automation, and scalability.
• Strengthen internal controls, reduce costs, and improve efficiency across finance.
