Equal Parts, based in Austin, is hiring a Diligence Lead to own end-to-end diligence on live acquisitions. You will verify seller representations, quantify issues, and provide tactical recommendations backed by data to inform decisions alongside the deal team.

You will work directly with agency owners, push on assumptions, and help build an AI-native diligence system. The role suits someone who values precision, clear communication, and has 2+ years in transaction advisory or related fields.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in transaction advisory, financial due diligence, corporate development, private equity, investment banking, or M&A.
• Strong financial acumen; you can read, normalize, and explain financials to non-accountants.
• Judgment under incomplete information and the ability to justify calls.
• Comfort with owner-operators and direct, respectful conversations with business owners.
• Comfort working with AI-native tooling and encoding your work.

Responsibilities

• Own due diligence end-to-end on live acquisitions, identifying where the process is slow or thin and how it should change.
• Validate seller representations against source data and build an honest view of future performance.
• Size issues, quantify them, and present tactical recommendations to the deal team.
• Collaborate with business unit leaders and the deal team to maximize value from each acquisition.
• Sit across from agency owners and manage tough questions while preserving relationships.
• Expose grey areas clearly and steer toward decisions that reflect underlying fundamentals.
• Help build the system: encode diligence logic into the platform and work with product/engineering.
• Flex across the deal team, taking on scope beyond the core role when needed.
