Job summary

Wilmington Trust is seeking a Digital Business Analyst to support the evolution of our M&A deal administration capabilities within the IS suite. The successful candidate will help shape IS’s M&A capabilities and contribute to one of the largest and fastest growing business segments in the division.

The role focuses on product vision, backlog hygiene, requirements, and success metrics across client and employee-facing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years in a business line role.
• Alternatively, combined 8 years of higher education and/or work experience.
• Experience with financial services, banking, corporate trust, and M&A.
• Ability to document requirements, data, rules, and testable outcomes.
• Experience with Agile delivery, backlog refinement, and Jira.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of Design Thinking and user-centered discovery.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior product owners and cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into digital workflows, business and data requirements.
• Document current and future-state business processes using visual tools and process modeling techniques.
• Define data requirements, business logic, and traceability of lineage to system of record.
• Translate business needs, operational pain points and product priorities into clear features, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, data requirements and decision logic.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, feature decomposition, and delivery readiness by ensuring requirements are appropriately sized, sequenced, traceable, and testable.
• Define business acceptance criteria, test scenarios, test data needs, expected results, and evidence requirements to support functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Partner with quality engineering, technology, operations, and business users to validate that delivered solutions meet approved requirements.
• Triage production issues and reporting requests to support business users and underlying M&A applications.
