Job summary

Benchmark International is seeking an experienced Deal Associate in Nashville to support the Transaction Director in closing M&A transactions and servicing the portfolio of businesses for sale.

The successful candidate will manage client relationships, lead negotiations, and guide analysts through deal processes, with opportunities to take on increasing responsibility and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Two to five years in M&A or sales-related roles.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of businesses for sale and act as primary relationship manager with clients.
• Direct negotiations through to closing and discuss Benchmark International’s success fee with clients.
• Supervise analysts and hire/replace them as needed; allocate tasks to maintain engagement and retention.
• Contribute to process improvements and participate in regional events and corporate growth initiatives.
