Job summary

Koley Jessen, L.L.O in Omaha, Nebraska, seeks an experienced Mergers & Acquisitions Attorney (2–8 years) to join its corporate practice. The role offers leadership on sophisticated nationwide transactions and collaboration with a skilled team of attorneys.

You will manage multi‑phase deals, lead due diligence, draft and negotiate definitive documents, advise clients on structure and risk, and mentor junior associates.

Qualifications

• 2–8 years of meaningful experience in corporate transactions with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.
• Admission to practice law in Nebraska, or eligibility for admission.
• Substantial experience drafting and negotiating complex transactional documents.
• Ability to lead and manage due diligence processes with cross-practice coordination.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to advocate for client interests.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented approach to complex legal challenges.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage significant workstreams across all phases of M&A and investment transactions.
• Lead due diligence efforts and direct review teams.
• Draft and negotiate complex definitive transaction documents with limited supervision.
• Advise clients on deal structure, risk allocation, and strategic considerations.
• Collaborate with clients and senior attorneys to develop transaction strategies.
• Analyze regulatory and competitive considerations affecting transactions.
• Mentor and supervise junior associates.
• Manage multiple concurrent transactions with timely, high-quality execution.
• Advise on corporate governance and general corporate matters in transactional work.
