Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior associate-level professional to support M&A advisory engagements in Boston. You will drive work with analysts, engage with clients and senior bankers, and participate in full deal lifecycles while leading multiple workstreams and ensuring high-quality, client-ready outputs.

The role requires strong financial modeling, data analysis, and communication skills, with proficiency in Capital IQ and FactSet, and willingness to work long hours in an on-call, in-office

Responsibilities

  • Drive work forward in partnership with analysts.
  • Gain exposure to clients and senior bankers.
  • Participate in the full lifecycle of multiple client engagements.
  • Lead multiple workstreams while maintaining quality.
  • Own outcomes and advance tasks from start to finish.
  • Build relationships across deal teams and firm colleagues.
  • Deliver accurate, high-quality, client-ready work products.
  • Manage workstreams and deadlines for consistent, on-time execution.

  • Contribute to client recommendations in M&A and private capital advisory engagements.

  • Working understanding of income statement, cash flow statement, and balance sheet connections
  • Willingness to deepen accounting, valuation, and financial modeling expertise
  • Comfort using and directing AI tools while retaining ownership of quality, accuracy, and judgment
  • Ability to lead multiple workstreams while maintaining quality
  • Ability to deliver accurate, high-quality, client-ready work products
  • Ability to manage workstreams and deadlines
  • University/college degree typically required for roles at this level
  • 5+ years of industry-relevant experience stated in the qualifications section
  • Comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
