Job summary

DLA Piper’s Austin office seeks a junior to mid-level M&A Associate to support complex domestic and cross-border transactions from inception through closing. This is an in-office role with no remote work.

The ideal candidate has 2–7 years of M&A experience, direct AmLaw 100 exposure, and Texas bar admission or the ability to waive in. Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of M&A experience in a major law firm or equivalent.
• Licensed to practice in Texas or able to waive in.
• Experience handling large, cross-border transactions.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex domestic and cross-border transactional matters from inception through closing.
• Conduct due diligence, identify risks, and draft practical recommendations.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and revise contracts and ancillary agreements.
• Structure transactions and provide strategic regulatory and business advice.
• Coordinate closings and facilitate communication among parties.
