CastleOak Securities, L.P. in New York is seeking an M&A Advisory Associate to support senior bankers across Telecom, Technology, and Industrials in a collaborative, high-growth environment. You will execute advisory engagements, including buy-side and sell-side mandates, with a generalist focus.

The role emphasizes financial modeling, client-ready presentations, and active deal origination, while mentoring junior staff. Hybrid work (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) and travel are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dedicated M&A advisory deal execution experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong grasp of US GAAP, merger accounting, and M&A principles.
• Ability to build financial models, draft presentations, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
• Strong accountability and professional ethics in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and present financial analyses, valuation models, and pro forma analyses.
• Research, write, and structure client-ready presentations, pitchbooks, and RFP responses.
• Conduct tailored acquisition screens, identify bolt-on targets, and lead roll-up studies.
• Draft sell-side marketing documents, including teasers, CIMs, and private placement memoranda.
• Identify, map, and contact potential strategic and financial buyers and sellers.
• Review NDAs, LOIs, term sheets, and definitive purchase agreements.
• Mentor junior team members and provide constructive performance feedback.
• Analyze M&A trends across industries to drive client engagement and deal origination.
