Qualifications

Master's degree in a scientific discipline with 3+ years of experience or equivalent.
Experience handling mice, anesthesia, blood collection, and training on guinea pig models.
DNA/RNA extraction from tissues, PCR/qPCR/RT-PCR.
Protein purification with ELISA and western blot assays.
Excellent lab record-keeping and inventory management.
Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Designs, plans, and evaluates complex research projects and protocols.
Collaborates with PI to define research aims and approaches.
Solves methodological and procedural problems to achieve results.
Develops long-range plans for supplies and equipment for lab operation.
Analyzes data and ensures integrity of research data.
Coordinates lab renovations with facilities and safety teams; ensures deadlines and budgets.
Prepares scientific reports and proposals; may assist with publications.
May perform other duties as assigned.
