Job summary

The ASPCA is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to deliver compassionate nursing care within the ARC at the 92nd Street location. This on-site, full-time role supports medical, behavior and sheltering teams, with weekends possible and occasional overtime.

The successful candidate will perform clinical nursing tasks, maintain records, participate in team trainings, and contribute to humane euthanasia planning.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Strong nursing and animal care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to cats and dogs; venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and dentistry.
• Maintain medical records and logs; prepare treatment sheets and medication orders.
• Support team training and onboarding of new hires; communicate effectively with staff.
