Job summary

Bienvivir All-Inclusive Senior Health is seeking an LVN Treatment Nurse to support the medical component of our Adult Day Care Center in El Paso, TX. Under the Clinic Manager, you will monitor skin integrity, provide treatments, educate participants and families, and document care in the medical record.

The ideal candidate is a Texas-licensed Vocational Nurse with a passion for elderly care and a commitment to maintaining independence and quality of life in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a license to practice as a Texas LVN.
• One year of treatment experience with frail or elderly population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatments per physician orders.
• Provide supplies to participants and caregivers for home treatments.
• Motivate participants to maximize independence and participate in the center's program.
• Document in participants' charts all treatments administered in center.
• Assist Clinic Manager in maintaining nursing supplies required for treatments in the center and at residence.
• Provide patient care as appropriate under the Clinic Manager or Physician supervision.
• Attend monthly clinic meetings as necessary.
• Cross-train to provide coverage for medication nurse as needed.
• Attend daily morning meetings as necessary.
• Maintain the wound care log and wound care checklist.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinic Manager.

Since 1987, Bienvivir has served the frail seniors of El Paso, Texas through the provision of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly ("PACE").

PACE is a unique managed care benefit for frail seniors (referred to as participants) age 55 and older who are certified by the state as needing nursing home level care and who reside in a PACE service area. PACE programs coordinate and provide comprehensive medical and support services so that participants can remain independent and stay in their homes for as long as safely possible.

LVN Treatment Nurse

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager, the LVN Treatment Nurse assists in the dailyoperation of the medical component of the Adult Day Care Center. The LVN Treatment Nurse’sduties include monitoring and maintaining skin integrity, health education of participants andfamilies, the provision of treatments as per the treatment plan and as ordered by the Physician'sdocumentation in the medical record.

• 6. Provide patient care as appropriate and under the supervision of the Clinic Manager or thePhysician.
• 7. Participate in morning meetings as necessary.
• 8. Cross train to provide coverage for medication nurse as needed.
• 9. Attend monthly clinic meeting.
• 10. Maintain the wound care log and wound care checklist.
• 11. Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinic Manager.
