Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group in California seeks an LVN/LPT for an on-call, in-person role at the Redwood City campus. You will work within a 16-bed inpatient rehabilitation setting as part of a multidisciplinary team to support adults with severe mental health needs.

The ideal candidate has a California LVN or LPT license, CPR/First Aid, and at least 1 year of behavioral health nursing and medication administration experience. Position offers generous benefits and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology.
• 1 year nursing/psych tech experience in behavioral health.
• 1 year medication administration experience required.
• Valid California LVN or LPT license.
• Current CPR and first aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care including medications and basic medical interventions.
• Follow standard nursing practices and support treatment plans.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team care and education.

Job Title: LVN | On-Call Division/Program: San Mateo - Mental Health Rehabilitation Center Services

Starting Compensation: 42.00 - 50.40 USD Per Hour

Working Location: Redwood City: Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (In-Person position)

Working Hours/Shift: On-Call, 8 hours per week

What you bring to SBHG (qualifications)

• Education Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required. Associate's degree, preferred
• Experience: One (1) year working as a nurse/psych tech in a behavioral health field.
• One (1) year medication administration experience required.
• License and Certification: Valid California LVN or an LPT license.
• Current CPR and first aid certification.

How you will make a difference (job overview)

• Population Served: Adults (Ages 18–64) with severe mental health challenges that have required placement in a state hospital or other intensive behavioral health setting.
• Facility & Setting: 16-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility.
• Clinical Services: Comprehensive behavioral health and psychiatric services delivered by a multidisciplinary team.
• Skills & Transition: Independent living skills development, self-sufficiency training, and transition planning for community re-entry.
