Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an LPN/LVN in Texas.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of PCC or similar care planning systems preferred.
• Ability to lead and supervise nursing staff and coordinate with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants according to regulations and facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures established by the facility.
• Plan shifts, services, programs, and activities with assigned nursing staff.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and facility surveys as needed.
• Supervise nursing care, admissions/transfers/discharges, and charting accuracy.
• Oversee medication administration processes and safety procedures.
• Provide leadership and perform staff performance reviews.
