Job summary

Lone Star Circle of Care in Austin, TX is seeking a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support patient care under supervision of licensed staff. You will perform focused nursing assessments, assist with examinations, manage medications, and document in the EHR.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program.
Texas LVN license required.
BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Obtain, evaluate, and document patient histories.
Measure and record vital signs.
Assist licensed medical staff with patient examinations.
Draw blood samples and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
Prepare and administer medications according to the Five Rights of Medication Administration.
Perform routine diagnostic and laboratory procedures.
Coordinate referrals and process referrals upon receipt of reports.
Receive and relay STAT results to providers.
Enter data in the EHR system including lab results and screenings.
