Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Vocational Nurse program.
• CA LVN license valid.
• BLS certification required.
• IV/BW certification required.
• 1+ year LVN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up exam room/procedure rooms appropriately based on patient visit needs.
• Performs initial nursing intake and prepares patients for examination.
• Prepares patients for examination by reviewing current medications and documents in medical record.
• Prepares medical chart and records patient information needed to support the visit (vital signs, reason for visit).
• Coordinates prescribed medications, injections, or IV medications per provider guidance.
• Provides basic patient care and treatments (vital signs, phlebotomy, diagnostic tests) as advised by the provider.
• Observes patient, documents changes, and reports to the provider for appropriate actions.
• Evaluates nursing intervention outcomes within LVN scope.
• Acts as patient advocate and uses resources to support patient care.
• Reviews MA skills using evaluation tools and participates in QA/QC to maintain compliance.
