Job summary

Oceans Lubbock provides inpatient and outpatient mental health services in a safe environment with treatment programs for all life stages. The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides nursing care under RN supervision, delivering meds, assessments, and support as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The LVN uses the nursing process to implement care, documents findings, and adheres to Joint Commission, state regulations, and Oceans policies.

Qualifications

• Current, valid LVN license in the state of employment.
• One year of inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred.
• CPR certification required; familiarity with behavioral health de-escalation recommended.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality nursing care to assigned patients by data collection and reassessment.
• Documents findings in the patient record and communicates with the health care team.
• Implements care plans and performs nursing procedures as prescribed by physicians.
• Performs bedside labs, wound care, and assists with activities of daily living.
