Job summary

Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Licensed Vocational Nurse to work in a supported living center in Corpus Christi, TX. The LVN performs advanced nursing work, providing care, treatment, and welfare for residents with intellectual disabilities and complex medical or behavioral health needs.

Pay rate is $40.10/hr with a 40-hour work week on a rotating schedule (6:00 AM–2:00 PM or 2:00 PM–10:30 PM).

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in Texas or reciprocity state.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments.
• Performs nursing procedures per regulations after competency.
• Documents and reports observations.
• Communicates with team; documents as required by policy.
• Responds to emergencies and follows safety protocols.
• Monitors treatments and procedures for patients.
• Collects samples for laboratory tests as requested.
• Provides education to individuals with health goals.
• Assists staff in turning/repositioning patients for treatments.
• Ensures supplies are available and manages medical records.
• May work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
