Job summary

Protouch Staffing in Corpus Christi, Texas is seeking compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurses for a long-term contract assignment. You will provide nursing care under RN supervision to individuals with IDD, medically fragile, and behavioral health needs.

This role features 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM shifts, alternating with rotating weekends, and offers weekly pay and a direct deposit option. LVN license in Texas and BLS certification required, with 35 years of healthcare staffing excellence behind us.

Qualifications

Current Texas LVN license.
AHA BLS Certification.
Experience in Long-Term Care/IDD/Behavioral Health.
Strong clinical assessment and nursing skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused.

Responsibilities

Administer medications and treatments via oral, injectable, rectal, and other approved routes.
Monitor patient health, vital signs, and identify changes in condition.
Perform skilled nursing procedures including tracheostomy care, wound care, G-Tube/J-Tube care, and respiratory treatments.
Collect laboratory specimens and perform health screenings.
Document patient care in electronic medical records.
Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and interdisciplinary teams.
Mentor and train newly hired LVNs and direct care staff.
Evaluate patient outcomes and communicate concerns to the team.
Ensure compliance with facility policies and nursing standards.
