Job summary

Bristol Hospice in California is seeking a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) to join our team delivering patient-centered hospice care. This role emphasizes direct patient care, accurate documentation, and family education, within a supportive, values-driven environment that prioritizes dignity at the end of life.

The position requires a state license and at least three years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state.
• Minimum three years nursing experience; hospice or medical/surgical experience preferred.
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and terminally ill patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per State Nurse Practice Act.
• Document services accurately reflecting the plan of care in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis and self-care needs.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team and report needs.
• Use equipment with aseptic technique and manage pain/symptoms.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
