LVN, Licensed Vocational Nurse Clinic - Specialty Urology - *HIRING INCENTIVE AVAILABLE*

This position involves providing professional nursing care to clinic patients under supervision, working collaboratively with healthcare providers to ensure quality care.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform general nursing care and administer treatments according to nursing standards.
2. Assist with equipment preparation and support providers during treatments, examinations, and tests.
3. Observe, record, and report patients’ conditions and reactions to treatments.
4. Manage appointment bookings, prioritize emergency cases, and maintain patient flow.
5. Greet patients, take medical histories, record vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations.
6. Instruct patients on sample collection and tests.
7. Perform various tasks such as obtaining vital signs, initial assessments, patient transfers, and specimen collections, in accordance with established procedures and licensure.
8. Assist with procedures like catheterizations, cultures, vision screenings, and wound care, among others.
9. Administer medications, including injections and IV therapies, after appropriate training.
10. Coordinate patient testing, admissions, and manage documentation and patient files.
11. Ensure exam rooms are prepared and participate in meetings and professional development activities.
12. Follow HIPAA guidelines, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
13. Adhere to CHRISTUS Health policies, safety, and quality standards, supporting the organization's mission and cultural diversity objectives.

Requirements:

1. Graduate from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
2. Valid state nursing license.
3. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
4. Previous medical office experience preferred.
