Job summary

SriMatrix health is seeking a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) to provide expert patient care in a busy Frisco clinic. You will perform vital signs, administer IM injections, manage patient charts, and support the care team to keep care flowing smoothly.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program, a current Texas LVN license, 1+ year of clinical experience, and EHR experience is helpful. You must obtain BLS certification within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program.
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred.
• Current Practical/Vocational nursing license in state of residency is required.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Manage patient charts, document history in EHR, and conduct regular chart audits.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records and logs of in-house and sent-out lab Work.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
• Follow client preferences and occupational procedures.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

• Perform clinical responsibilities such as taking vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG’s, and administering IM injections.
• Manage patient charts including collecting patient history, documenting EHR appropriately, and conducting regular chart audits.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
• Ensure the occupational client’s preference card is followed and occupational procedures are adhered to.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of practical/vocational nursing.
• Current Practical/Vocational nursing license in state of residency is required.
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is preferred.
• Experience using an EHR system is extremely helpful.
• The ability to obtain a BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
