Job summary

Harris Jones Staffing is seeking Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to provide complex nursing care for residents in Corpus Christi, TX. Working under the supervision of the Unit RN and Unit Nurse Manager, you will deliver hands-on care and document accurately.

This is an immediate-start, 24-week minimum contract with shifts available (Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM; Evening Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM). Texas LVN license, 1+ year direct care experience, CPR, TB clearance, and background checks

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered LVN license in Texas.
• Minimum 1 year direct care experience (2+ years preferred).
• Competency in advanced clinical care (G-tubes, Foley, tracheostomy care).
• Valid government-issued photo ID.
• Current CPR certification.
• Up-to-date TB test documentation; able to pass drug screen and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments; provide education; document accurately.
• Perform advanced nursing tasks including gastrostomy tubes/enteral feedings, Foley catheter management, tracheostomy care.
• Maintain precise electronic health records and complete computer data entry.

About the Role

Working under the supervision of the Unit RN and Unit Nurse Manager, you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality, hands-on care and supporting our resident community.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care & Treatment: Administer medications and treatments efficiently; provide medication education to residents and complete accurate, detailed medical documentation.
• Clinical Skills: Perform advanced nursing tasks, including gastrostomy tubes/enteral feedings, Foley catheter management, tracheostomy care, and other direct care duties.
• Documentation & Data Entry: Maintain precise electronic health records and complete computer data entry (full facility-specific training provided).
• Collaboration: Partner with Unit RNs, Nurse Managers, and interdisciplinary care teams to maintain safety and high care standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• License: Current, unencumbered Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license to practice in the State of Texas.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of direct care nursing experience (2+ years preferred).
• Clinical Skills: Demonstrated competency in advanced clinical care (G-tubes/enteral feedings, Foley catheters, tracheostomy care).
• Identification: Valid government-issued photo ID.
• Certifications: Current CPR certification.
• Health & Clearance:
  • Up-to-date TB test documentation.
  • Ability to pass a urine drug screen and background check (provided by agency/candidate).
  • Ability to pass an FBI fingerprint background check (provided by facility).
