Job summary

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Texas LVN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Strong teaching, coaching, and communication skills.
• Ability to teach classroom material and hands-on clinical skills.
• Organized and able to manage student records, schedules, and training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom, skills lab, and clinical instruction for CNA students.
• Teach approximately one primary CNA class per month, with up to 10 students per class.
• Coordinate and instruct clinical-only students as scheduled.
• Prepare students for successful completion of the program and state certification requirements.
• Maintain required student records, attendance, skills documentation, and training files.
• Help improve student enrollment and utilization of available class capacity.
• Build relationships with organizations that can become ongoing sources of CNA students.
• Support the continued growth and financial performance of the CNA school.
• Lead new-hire Care Pro orientation and skills training.
• Conduct competency validations and hands-on skills assessments.
• Identify training gaps and provide remediation when needed.
• Provide ongoing education for existing Care Pros.
• Reinforce the HHC Way and Home Health Companions’ standards for professionalism, safety, reliability, and exceptional client care.
• Provide LVN clinical support as needed and assist nursing team with client visits within LVN scope.

LVN – CNA Lead Instructor & Workforce Training Manager

Home Health Companions | Dallas, TX

Full-Time | Salary Exempt

Home Health Companions is seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) who loves teaching, developing people, and building strong caregivers.

This is not a traditional bedside LVN position. You will play a key role in both our Texas-approved CNA School and the training and development of Home Health Companions Care Pros.

We are looking for someone who can teach—but also someone who wants to help grow the CNA school and build an exceptional caregiver workforce.

What You’ll Do

CNA School — Approximately 20 Hours/Week

• Lead classroom, skills lab, and clinical instruction for CNA students.
• Teach approximately one primary CNA class per month, with up to 10 students per class.
• Coordinate and instruct clinical-only students as scheduled.
• Prepare students for successful completion of the program and state certification requirements.
• Maintain required student records, attendance, skills documentation, and training files.

• Provide LVN clinical support for Home Health Companions as needed.
• Assist the nursing team with appropriate client visits and clinical services within the LVN scope of practice.
• Work collaboratively with HHC’s RN leadership and clinical team.

What We’re Looking For

• Current, unrestricted Texas LVN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Strong teaching, coaching, and communication skills.
• Comfortable teaching both classroom material and hands‑on clinical skills.
• Organized and able to manage student records, schedules, and training requirements.
• Home care, long‑term care, CNA education, or caregiver‑training experience strongly preferred.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and interest in helping grow the CNA school, not simply teach classes.
• Passion for developing people and helping caregivers succeed.
