Job summary

Harris Health is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide patient care and education in ambulatory clinics under the direct supervision of a RN/physician. The LVN uses the nursing process to meet physical, social, and psychological needs and coordinates care within the LVN scope of practice.

Minimum qualifications include an accredited nursing program graduate, current Texas LVN license, BLS certification, and unit-specific certificates as required.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas;
• Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program;
• Other Certificates As Required By Unit/service.
• Work Experience: Experience in area of specialty preferred.
• Equipment Operated: Computer, IV pumps, vital signs monitor, other unit-specific medical equipment.
