Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The LVN will deliver safe, patient‑centered care, adhere to Texas nursing standards, and participate in ongoing improvements to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited LVN program, TX LVN license, BLS certification, and a minimum of 6 months LVN experience, preferably in acute care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of vocational nursing or licensed practical nursing.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice as an LVN.
• Certified in Basic Life Support
• Minimum of 6 months LVN experience, preferably in acute care setting
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients within licensure.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team in delivering patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Participates in program evaluation, process improvement, and outcomes.
• Addresses diverse patient needs across the continuum of care to optimize the patient experience.
• Adheres to regulatory standards and Memorial Hermann policies; maintains budgetary considerations.
• Supports professional growth, serves as a preceptor/mentor to less experienced staff.
• Commits to compassionate and personalized experiences for every patient and workforce member.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
