Job summary

Sequoia Transitional Care in Porterville, CA is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Charge Nurse for full-time, all shifts. Pay ranges from $30–$35 per hour, based on experience. The role leads nursing staff, ensures quality resident care, and adheres to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Current California LVN license in good standing.
CPR certification required.
Skilled nursing experience preferred but not required.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Compassion for the geriatric population.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans and physician orders.
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
Supervise and support CNAs on shift.
Monitor resident conditions and report changes appropriately.
Maintain accurate documentation and nursing notes.
Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Communicate with physicians, residents, and family members regarding care.
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
