Job summary

Renew Recovery Center in California seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse to support patient care in detox and residential settings. Under supervision, you will administer medications, monitor health, document findings, and assist in care planning.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, promote safety, and provide education to clients on health and recovery topics while maintaining confidentiality and high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Current California LVN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience, preferably in behavioral health.
• CPR (BLS) and First Aid certification current.
• Successful completion of required trainings and annual competencies.
• Understanding of detox protocols; familiarity with co-occurring disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care per policies and protocols.
• Complete nursing assessments and document vital signs and changes.
• Monitor withdrawal symptoms and report to RN or provider.
• Administer medications with accuracy and document responses.
• Assist with development and implementation of care plans.
• Educate patients on health and recovery topics.
• Support admissions, orientation, and intake assessments.
• Maintain documentation in the electronic health record.
• Ensure infection control and confidentiality protocols.
• Collaborate with treatment team across shifts.
• Assist in de-escalation and crisis response under supervision.
• Provide shift reports to incoming staff; maintain unit safety.
• Identify and report co-occurring behavioral health concerns.
