Job summary

Desert Oasis Healthcare seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team on site in Palm Springs. You will assess patients, plan care, administer medications and perform ECGs and IV therapies as ordered by physicians.

Duties include wound care, lab draws, documentation and patient education to support high-quality care. The role requires an active CA LVN license, BLS/ACLS, and 2 years in acute care or similar settings.

Qualifications

• Current California LVN license is required.
• 2 years experience in acute care, ER, urgent care or immediate care preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively with patients and physicians.
• BLS and ACLS certification; proficient with IV administration.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessment and planning.

Provides care/services under the California State Law defining the Nurse Practice Act.

Professional Duties

• Patient Assessment/Evaluation.
• Patient Planning/Implementation.
• Medication Administration.
• ECG- performs electrocardiograms as ordered by the provider and according to approved policy and procedure.
• Dressing/Sutures/Orthopedics Appliances.
• Patient and/or Provider Assistance.
• Non-Invasive Procedure.

• Quality Control Activities.
• Responds to all codes.
• Responsible for lab draws, specimen processing using CBC machine and Piccolo, and relaying results to MD as required.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in an acute care, emergency room, urgent care or immediate care, preferred.
• Knowledgeable in scope of practice.

• BLS and ACLS required. Proficient with I.V.
