Job Summary:
The Luxury Dining Attendant will provide personalized food and beverage service, prepare handcrafted beverages, and take complete ownership of the guest experience and operational readiness of The Library.

Guest Experience
- Ability to thoughtfully engage with all customers visiting The Library and The Rooftop at The Laurel about the concept and partnership with Auburn University.
- Perform mise-en-place for daily service based on business levels expected.
- Oversee our guests' experience following The Laurel, The Rooftop at the Laurel's and IHP's service standards.
- Deliver Forbes Five-Star Service throughout every meal period.
- Able to set up and break down each food and beverage presentation in The Library.
- Transport food from the 6th-floor kitchen to various food service outlets, including the rooftop bar, lounge, and cabanas, in addition to any special requests from guests in The Library.
- Welcome, seat, and orient guests.
- Take complete ownership of assigned tables.
- Anticipate guest needs before requests are made.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of menus, wine, cocktails, spirits, coffee, tea, and hotel offerings across both outlets.
- Guide guests through menu selections and dietary accommodations.
- Ensure guest and dietary preferences are recognized throughout the library, Pool Cabanas, and Rooftop Bar.
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and urgency.
- Responsible for preparing in-room dining trays and carts and promptly delivering orders to hotel guests, with great attention to detail.
- Ensure the work environment is neat and clean.
- Be available to perform lateral service as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the rooftop as directed by the rooftop manager or immediate supervisor.
- Deliver ordered food and beverage items to guests according to table and seat numbers on the Rooftop.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house and back-of-house team members to ensure a highly executed dining experience.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Bartending
- Clean, set up, and stock the bar and all related areas as determined by standard SOP's, opening duties, service manuals, and job descriptions.
- Ability to prioritize and balance guests' bar orders with food orders.
- Check identification to verify the legal age requirements of customers.
- Prepare cocktails, wine service, beer, coffee, espresso beverages, tea service, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Execute recipes and presentation standards consistently.
- Ensure bar cleanliness and organization.
Stewardship of the Space
- Polishing glassware & silverware
- Stocking china
- Stocking coffee service
- Organizing storage
- Complete opening & closing checklists.
- Ensure the following shift begins service fully prepared.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to operate a point-of-sale system.

- Works independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintains Forbes Five-Star standards
Education & Experience:
- A basic knowledge of food & beverage procedures and functions is preferred.
- Extensive background in serving in an upscale hotel, rooftop and/or pool environment t is preferred.
- Able complete the Responsible Vendor course for all team members 18 years old and above.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and sitting.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
