Job summary

Gallaher Signature Living is seeking a full-time Medication Technician to join our team. The Med-Tech assists with self-administration of medications for residents in accordance with California Title 22 regulations, physician orders, and community policies, supporting independence in a luxury active adult community.

This role collaborates with the Wellness team to promote safety, dignity, and warmth. Compensation is $22.00-$23.75 per hour with a $1,000 signing bonus paid across milestones.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Title 22-required medication training prior to assisting with medications.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to pass background check, health screening, and TB clearance as required by regulation.
• Previous experience as a Medication Technician, CNA, or caregiver preferred.
• Experience in a high-end or hospitality-focused senior living environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to resident safety and service quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with self-administration of medications as permitted under California Title 22.
• Follow physician orders, MARs, and community policies precisely.
• Observe, document, and report medication refusals, errors, adverse reactions, or changes promptly.
• Maintain secure storage, proper labeling, and accurate documentation of all medications.
• Ensure medications are administered at the correct time, dosage, and route in accordance with regulations.
• Observe residents for changes in physical, cognitive, or emotional condition and report concerns promptly.
• Provide respectful assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) as assigned.
• Support resident independence while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies, following established protocols.
• Regulatory & Documentation Compliance
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with Title 22, HIPAA, and community standards.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and quality assurance processes as required.
• Adhere strictly to infection control, safety, and emergency preparedness policies.
• Deliver care with discretion, professionalism, and a hospitality-driven mindset in a luxury senior living community.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
